Well, traditional exercise is tedious and repetitive; running endlessly in place on a treadmill or elliptical is boring and solitary. SymGym brings the world of play back to exercise. With SymGym, players can play games, compete with friends, and workout using our resistance based exercise device, video game controller, and gaming platform.The patented SymGym controller uses bodily movement to control video game actions. SymGym players control video games by moving the fully independent arm bars and foot pedals. It has the ability to control the range of resistance from zero to over 200 pounds. As you are playing, the resistance is actively changing for a challenging workout. SymGym’s resistance changes based on game level, game action, or both. For example, pushing the foot pedals to run uphill is harder than running downhill. Pulling the arm bars to pick up heavy objects is harder than picking up lighter objects within the game. This mimics real world activity including motions similar to cross country skiing, punching, pulling, walking, running, jumping or stomping. An online dashboard provides players with access to games, leaderboards, challenges, and fitness metrics.
